Today, the lighthouse is open daily to the public between April 1^st and October 31^st from 9:00 to 4:30, and the remainder of the year Wednesday through Sunday from 9:00 to 3:30.  Nearby you can visit the Edith Duff Gwinn Gardens. The garden and the Barnegat Light Historical Society are located at 5^th Street and Central Avenue.

   You’ll find comfortable accommodations at Bed and Breakfast Inns, historical inns and hotels, and other vacation rentals in condos, hotels and motels. Barnegat Light is also home to recreational fishing, and you will enjoy browsing the quaint shops of Viking Village in this historic seaside community. With a population of just 764 people year round, Barnegat Light is a great place for beach time, fun time, recreation and dining out.
